Creative Imagination

Ilanit Tadmor

When we open the imagination, countless channels of creation and communication open up to us.

In this workshop we will explore the connection between the movement of the body and the world of the imagination: how imagination works for us, when an image inspires a new movement and when it is just the spice that enriches it. We will learn how to use images to deepen and perfect our movement language. In movement and dance classes, images are a central and useful tool. In the workshop we will break down the images into their various forms – images that are physical, emotional, mundane and more. We will move between solo work, duet and group work, and examine how the imagination can enrich both our individual movement and our shared movement.

As Albert Einstein said: “Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”
