This slot includes three alternating classes: Intuitive Movement with Einat Gantz, Conscious Movement with Daphna Hemmendinger, and Acroyoga and Partnering with Michal Arazi.
In Intuitive Movement we ask – What is going on in me right now? What is my part in all that exists? We will draw attention to the ever-changing dynamics of all that arises within us and around us. We will move from the shell of the body to the inside and vice versa, and we will explore the degree of interaction in the spaces created between the inside and the outside, through somatic work concerning anatomy and body systems, technical tools from the worlds of contemporary dance, games and possibilities of communication through touch.
In Conscious Movement we will strengthen, enhance, and increase our range of motion through dance, improvisation, and contact improvisation. We will meet with our own edges and sharpen our movement instincts. All of these will allow for the enhancement of our senses – the development of the ability to sense ourselves and our environment, what is alive within me in this moment, the dynamics of the space we are in, and the ability to feel the partnership inside the dance.
In Acroyoga and Partnering we will combine movement skills from martial arts, acroyoga and dance. Through physical games and technical exercises, we will increase our ranges of motion, learn to give and receive weight, listen to each other, lead and be led. We will combine exercises in dynamic movement with massage and relaxation. We will refine the poses and transitions both in pairs and in small groups.
