Healing Through Movement

Adama’s Healing Through Movement program is a two-year course of study. It was established in 2019 out of a collaboration between the Sderot Adama Movement Center and the Professional Development Center at Sapir College.

The program is designed for all types of therapists, social workers and psychologists, educators, team managers as well as people who deal with movement and communication, and who want to extend their range beyond the spoken word.

The studies take place at the Sderot Adama Center and include theoretical lessons as well as lessons and physical experiences which are delivered by key figures in the field of dance and therapy. Additionally, the studies take place within a small group, with an emphasis on the individuals within the group.

The program is created, managed and led by Liat Dror.

Opening of the school year – October 2025

The two-year program of studies starts every year in October, and each year consists of two semesters.

The first year of study will allow for experimentation in different spaces of movement, where one can enter a safe space that allows for non-verbal expression. We will learn to get to know and trust the body as the keeper of memory and information within us. At the end of the first year, students will receive a certificate from Sapir College – a certificate of completion of basic studies in Healing Through Movement

In the second year of study, tools will be provided for building and facilitating lessons. At the same time, we will experience a deepening of the movement training and the meeting between movement, consciousness and emotion. We will get to know refined frequencies that allow interweaving between the body, the soul, the mental and the intellectual. At the end of the second year, students will receive a certificate from Sapir College – a certified diploma in Healing Through Movement.

Scope of study hours per year: 150 academic study hours. 24 sessions (12 sessions each semester)

Healing Through Movement

Michal Arazi
