The Company

The connection between the abstract movement and the practical movement is woven over a table located in the kitchen which is the heart of every physical home, and through it we experience connection, dissolution, disappointment, belief, separation, and hope. 

The show 'Love Is Strong as Death' presents a new, contemporary and current interpretation of previous works by Liat Dror and Nir Ben Gal: Two-Room Apartment Anta Oumri Dance of Nothing.

The black belt is the test for the highest level in martial arts which testifies to abilities and skills acquired throughout the years of training. In November 2019, an Israeli military operation of this same name was carried out in the Gaza Strip.

A widely held concept is that action creates our reality. But looking more deeply can lead one to the understanding that, actually, what is not necessarily perceived through action alone – such as faith, willpower, intention, presence – can be more powerful in creating reality. 

What are we loyal to? To the present need? To an order from above? To our heart’s decree? 
Do we have the courage within us to act freely within these loyalties?

The dance work was created in the studio of the Adama Movement Center, located in the area of the border with Gaza. Seven dancers participate in it. The work was built through the stories of their dreams.
