All’arrabbiata is loosely translated from Italian as ‘the angry sauce.”

It’s a sauce made with a tomato base with the addition of spicy, zesty onion – ‘the spiciness of the dish does not take over the whole taste – but only knocks to make its presence known’. [from an Italian cookbook]

Each one of us is many things, and we don’t always manage to hold or connect all the parts into a clear feeling that the sum of all these parts is the whole. In this work we turned to the heart, as a connecting symbol, which the energy of life flows to and from, allowing the energy to be soiled and become clean, to be filled and to be emptied.

The connection between the abstract movement and the practical movement is woven over a table located in the kitchen which is the heart of every physical home, and through it we experience connection, dissolution, disappointment, belief, separation, and hope.
